Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the SaveRecipe application ("the App") developed by portfx.app ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

SaveRecipe is a recipe management app that allows you to save, organize, and manage recipes. The App offers features including manual recipe entry, AI-powered recipe scanning from photos, recipe import from URLs, AI nutrition estimation, shopping lists, and iCloud synchronization.

2. Subscriptions

Free Tier: You may use all features of the App for free, with a limit of 5 saved recipes.

Premium Subscription: A monthly subscription removes the recipe limit, allowing you to save unlimited recipes. The subscription is priced at €1.99 per month (or equivalent in your local currency as determined by the App Store).

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• The subscription automatically renews each month unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel your subscription in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
• No refund will be provided for the unused portion of a current subscription period.
• Any unused portion of a free trial period (if offered) will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

3. AI Features Disclaimer

The App uses artificial intelligence to provide certain features, including recipe extraction from photos and URLs, and nutrition estimation. Please be aware of the following:

• AI-generated nutrition values are estimates only and should not be used as a substitute for professional dietary or medical advice.
• AI-extracted recipes may contain errors. Always review and verify the extracted information before use.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content.
• Do not rely solely on AI-estimated nutrition information for dietary decisions, especially if you have allergies, intolerances, or medical conditions.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you create within the App, including recipes, photos, and categories. We do not claim any ownership rights over your content.

You are responsible for ensuring that any content you import (e.g., recipes from websites) complies with applicable copyright laws. The App is intended for personal, non-commercial use of recipe content.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's services or servers
• Use the App in any way that could damage or impair the service

6. Intellectual Property

The App, its design, logo, and all related intellectual property are owned by portfx.app. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal purposes in accordance with these Terms.

7. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
• We are not liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the App.
• We are not liable for any dietary or health-related decisions made based on AI-generated nutrition estimates.
• We are not responsible for data loss due to device failure, iCloud issues, or other circumstances beyond our control.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or us.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict of law principles.

11. Apple's Terms

These Terms are in addition to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). In case of conflict, Apple's EULA shall prevail for matters related to the App Store.
